My Review
Most everyone in my family knows that I love to cook, and I love to share; but time is also of the essence. Speaking of essence - aroma is essential to good cooking as well! The Asian Slow Cooker allows me to indulge in recipes that cut down on time, marry amazing smells in my home and bring my family together over a well-balanced meal I feel good about feeding us. The variety of recipes in this crock pot tome is wide ranging, and has me trying things that would have taken hours and a full kitchen to experience in the long recipe version. And the flavor? Muah.
I have tried Pad Thai Noodles with Chicken, and the Sriracha Chili Chicken Wings, which do require 5 minutes under the broiler before serving, but are so simple because they are a 5-ingredient recipe. I absolutely adore that section of the book. I want to live there. What I like about the other recipes is that even with more ingredients, most of them are gathered into zip lock backs for ease of preparation, and everything is broken down into easy steps that any member of my family can undertake.
Crock pot cooking helps my family eat well and together on many occasions when we would otherwise skip meals or miss the opportunity to fellowship together - and Kelly Kwok has kicked it up a notch for us with The Asian Slow Cooker. Amazing!
