My Review
An insane maniac with a long thought out plan, shadows of
old nemesis’, and life-threatening personal crisis – Alex Troutt and Ozzie
Novak’s personal and professional lives are in a whirlwind of upheaval. Still,
the work methodically and courageously through the mayhem to save themselves
and the city from the terror at hand.
All hell breaks loose on the day of the marathon, when multiple
bomb explosions cause injuries, mayhem and rising fear in the city. Alex is
already on site because Ozzie uncovered threats to the marathon while
recovering from a near death experience at her house, and doing contract work
for the FBI. Also, her daughter is running in the marathon.
Unbeknownst to them, at the time, the plot is way thicker
than they can imagine. A real psychopath is on the loose with a well thought
out plan and every intention on seeing it through. She’s been growing baby psychopaths
to unleash her fury upon the unsuspecting targets and the marathon is just the
beginning. Alex and Ozzie need to work together to unfurl the mystery before it’s
everlasting too late.
Moreover, Alex is doubting her relationship with the hunky
Brad and Ozzie is trying to figure out when he and his daughter will be safe to
go home.
Every minute is an edge-of-the-seat fantastic ride! There
wasn’t a moment when I didn’t need to keep reading to piece this mystery
together – I absolutely NEEDED to get to the end. The twists and turns in the
plot are incredulous. This is my favorite in the Redemption Thriller Series
thus far, and even though it is a part of a series, it is incredible as a standalone
read as well.
John Mefford continues to show us that he is a skilled plot
master and a serious mystery writer. He has plans for us, as readers, to go on
a journey. I cannot wait to see where it leads to next!
