MY REVIEW
Of course Ozzie Novak is no normal Dad. As a P.I. he's drawn to mysteries, and when his long time friend Ivy Nash seeks his help with a case she's working on, he jumps right in. Nash is looking for Chantel, a 23-year-old addict, who has gone missing. Chantel has been addicted since her sister disappeared 10 years earlier. The case has it's twists and turns, including a mysterious name Nash finds at the crime scene, Psycho C; a body found bludgeoned to death, and information from Chantel's grandmother. Novak has a friend on the police force that help the two P.I.'s in their pursuit of Chantel, and they work tirelessly to unravel the connections between the past and the present before it's too late.Meanwhile, Novak is learning the ropes of being a single dad to Mackenzie, the daughter who just recently entered his life. Mackenzie has made a friend and Novak meets her Dad. In this addition to the Redemption series, readers get to see a different side of Novak. With Nash on the scene, there's almost a hint of future romance between the two and it's promising. Novak is still recovering from the insanity with his wife, but a Nash & Novak team is not unfavorable!
As per usual with John W. Mefford, this novel will stand on its own, even though it is part of the Redemption Thriller Series, and more immediately, #4 in the Ozzie Novak Thriller sub series.
As this sub series continues the full Redemption series merges together and Novak's character fleshes out. It's very exciting to see characters from the other books show up in this series - first Alex Troutt and now Ivy Nash. John W. Mefford is immensely talented to pull this off and I can't wait for each new installment to see how it all unfolds.

By now you're probably aware that the Alex Troutt thrillers, Ivy Nash thrillers, and the soon-to-be-released Ozzie Novak thrillers are all under the same Redemption Thriller Series umbrella. Why? Because, ultimately, they all connect -- Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. How? That's part of the mystery that I'm slowly unveiling throughout the Redemption Thriller Series.
Through each sub-series, characters from different books appear in the other novels. If it adds suspense, intrigue, or even a good laugh, I've included a cross-over character -- it's a lot more fun that way. Plus -- and here's the real kicker -- I'll write a final six novels that brings all of the major characters together -- Alex, Ivy, Ozzie. It will be explosive and gut-wrenching…in a way that will leave you breathless. At least that's my hope.
Starting with IN The End (Nov. 10 release), I'll be launching a new book every 2-4 weeks. IN The End will segue into the Ozzie Novak Thrillers. ON Edge (book 1), is due out on November 28. From there, it will be non-stop suspense until all six Ozzie books are released. And my editor tells me that Ozzie Novak is my best character yet.:) So, I hope you're ready for some thrilling binge-reading.
